Geres National Park is a region in northern Portugal that is part of the Parque Nacional da Peneda - Gerês, the only national park in the country. It is a beautiful area with mountains, valleys, waterfalls, lakes, forests and villages.
The park was created in 1971 with an area of 70 000 hectares and since then it has been the only one of its kind in our country.
